I'm replacing a boot strut tomorrow. Looks like they just pull off and push back on. Am I right? Don't want to break anything. Thanks

Only after you have removed the metal clip that holds the strut against the ball pin on the boot lid - it's the clips job to stop the strut popping off the ball pin. Same holds true for the bottom ball pin on the body.

You don't need to pull the metal spring clip right off, only about halfway off by putting a small flat blade screwdriver into the gap on top of the joint.

Only need to relieve the clip to remove, not to install the new one. Likely obvious, but found this out the hard way some years ago.

Almost as nice as having an electrically open/close boot (trunk) or tailgate. I really could get used to that.=))
