Boot lock

Morning. The boot lock on my car won't open on the central locking. If I rock the boot using the key though it will lock the doors? Is there anything I can do to sort that and how easy is it to remove?

Usual prime suspect with these symptoms is a broken or damaged wire in the so called 'loom of doom' and not the actual lock. I suggest you start by checking wires. See pic for example.

As mentioned it will be the loom of doom you will have a breakage somewhere.

Almost certainly be the above as I had exactly the same problem and turned out to be 2-3 wires broken around grommet
