Just picked up the boot lid with luggage rack mounts and blanking plugs Jjim had advertised. Not so much as a ding in it! Well pleased, a bit of swapsies took place so no money changed hands - as punch said "that's the way to do it"
As a plus I was following an E plate Riley Elf coming back down the M1 (that's a proper mini with extended rear end for you youngsters that don't know)

I had the Wolsey Hornet version. Lovely smooth and powerful twin SU engine. Kept it for a week. First time out in the rain and rear footwell filled with water, lifted the carpet to find the floor rotted through and just a piece of cardboard had been supporting the carpet. Took it back to the "reputable" dealer and got a refund. It was supplied with a 12 month MOT so no argument really.
They don't build them like they used to!! -thank goodness.

Can I ask if you have removed the wiring from the boot lid? If so was it difficult?

I stripped the boot lid down before selling it.

Just disconnect the plugs from the lock, lights and mechanism and the gently pull back through the cable harness hole.

And the a length of string to the end before pulling it all out. Easy job.

Tony.
