If you're travelling from LA to NO just ask around for the show and shines that go on pretty much every day of the week in just about every city and town in between there. You may have to drive a bit to get to some as there could be two or three going on the same day or the next day but they'll be there. I've hit hundreds over the years and they are mostly free to look in. JIM

You may even hit a drive in night for old cars or hit a drag strip featuring old cars. Best to check out bulletin boards, local restaurants usually post the info up, gas bars or pull someone driving something old and ask them. You'll get to see some awesome non restored cars to way out customs and meet a few hundred great people at each stop. A&W, Mac Donald's, sonic etc all sponsor these so you shouldn't have too difficult a time finding something interesting to fill your evenings after a days driving. Enjoy, JIM
