as said, the problem is that not everyone has the same sense of humour and as such even a minority can call the shots on what goes on as regards to humour or feel of a forum, i run a forum myself and understand how difficult it can be to reach a place where there is a happy medium, it takes time and it takes a few ott remarks for people to understand where they stand and how far they can push things. After the post you have just made it is obvious that you are not the smart ass loud mouth you tried to make yourself out to be, you are obviously quite a sensative guy and have listned to what was said and are willing to change to suit others in order to stay on the forum. What you suggest is the best idea imo take a breather and see how you feel in a week or so, the banter will be missed

cars and not about your fantasy world of professor who ever and nurse what ever.
We do like to have 'banter' on here that is in relation to the subject mater and not just off the cuff 'nothingness'

You are totally correct Lee. Moderation is a matter between the forum staff and a member.
However in some cases members take to the public forum to voice displeasure at how they feel the are being dealt with. It is often the case that the information which we put in to the private conversations is then dispersed to the community in some form irrespective. What is often not included are the responses which are made by the member, or in fact the whole transcript.
In this particular instance there is focus on the words "gibberish, childish & crap". No context, or even what may have come back as a reply to that message.
OK @bonzo, I have slept on this and I (no other moderators involved) have made a decision.
In all honesty, I could not give a flying fig about what you post on this forum.
At the end of the day it will all just disappear into the ethernet.
BUT when PM's are received by the people involved in running this forum they have to react to those PM's as that is their job whether they like it or not.
As of today I have decided to make that job (for me) a lot easier.
Instead of using up my time punching many keys on my keyboard to reply to you (as I am doing again now) I will from now on only be using one.
Any post or threads started by your self that I deem to be of the sort that will cause a reaction that will result in PM's going backwards and forwards will be deleted.

Sometimes you just need to accept that was has been said or done, no matter how much you think you were in the right, is actually wrong, even if you can justify it.
We need to remember that there are rules on the forum, and perhaps letting them slide in the past is wrong.
There is no need for anyone to leave the Forum, I personally think that everyone contributes positively in their own way, and those who feel wronged by this should brush themselves down, stand up tall and continue to contribute to the knowledge base we are creating.
If you choose when and where to post carefully, then nothing needs to change, as some when already mentioned it's about context and staying on topic (sheep as an example).
I would also urge the minority's that complain, to think about it in more detail as to what is actually going on, and the effect that their complaint is going to have before you complain. whilst I don't condone hijacking of threads, I believe you should be able to have light hearted comments which are linked, otherwise all you have is a very dull instruction manual. It is the minorities that are actually ruining this world with arrogant and self centred views that are in no way linked to the overall well being of the masses, and I have not seen one minority post in this thread (HT you are not a minority) I expect they are all sitting smugly revelling in the fallout of their handywork.
Guys lets all work to the rules, they are not strict and they allow us to have a fun forum.
