Well I've been waiting 53 pages for him to tell us how to build a "Lean-To" instead he's just been banging on about cars.
Great job 'Mazza', my first zed was a topaz 2.8 facelift. I sold it with just 35k on the clock.

Well ok …. Just one more little job………
The post arrived with two strips of blue leds… should be really quick…so removed the glove box and the lower trims from each side

Self adhesive leds stuck on the lower trims… plus a couple of holes for the wiring
pulled the wire through under the heater and soldered it to the led strip. ( they came with 30cm of wire which I desoldered as they needed to be longer.)
The two large holes are where the fixing clips that hold it up go . The hole that I drilled is just below the left hand end.
Then I just needed to connect the positive feed and the negative earth
For the Earth just crimped a ring terminal and found a convenient point.
The live is a brown and black wire that goes from terminal 4 of the plug behind the glovebox and goes to the interior light,
Only problem …….I couldn’t remember which plug it was
……..so removed the glove box on the 1.9 to find out
its the black connector on the left……so like before ( as below) unclipped the black loom tape exposed the wire and used a connection clip then used cable ties to hold it back together again.
Then just a case reassembling both cars.
And all that effort just so when you open the car door at night it looks like this ….
Thats it now …Project Complete …… ( other than maintenance stuff
)
