I like this as it looks like it can be removed to enable access to the compartment
 
check out ebay, acrylic sheet is reasonable to buy, a card template would not be hard to do, before cutting the acrylic to size, and there is allsorts of channel section at the bigger BnQ stores you could fix with some decent double sided tape, nice little project. I will just stick with my mesh bmw type,
 
I would get the perspex cut as it would make a better job. As for the brackets I've already started looking.
 
it is quite easy to cut, and the edges would need some fettling with a file and emery paper, but easy enough to do.

land rover series 2/3 door window channel is available, maybe of use

what size acrylic do you need @Low Rider
i work with shop fittings, so i have loads lying about, sometimes different colours too, im waiting for a nice smoked piece, or even a blue.
might even have something to fashion those brackets out of. just measure the gap between the hoops and let me know.

Ok Littlefeller will do. Just need to find suitable brackets once I've found those then I'll know the size required.
