Bmw z3 wiesmann hardtop fitting kit

Hello there you lovely lot..

I am after a wiesmann hardtop fitting kit… I know it is rare to come across this.. but I wasn’t told the roof was a wiesmann hardtop till after I got it…

Or at least some detailed photos of the fitting kits to then hopefully get one fabricated (which seems to be the course of action to take )

I have the bmw standard fitting kit but definitely doesn’t fit as it’s out by a few cm each side and bolt pattern is slightly different after some reading on here they are different..


can one of you post some detailed photos of your mounting kits for the wiesmann Hardtop roof please
Or if one is for sale, even better
Cornwall area..

I’ve just purchased a BMW hardtop, and it’s come with a Weisman fitting kit.

Don’t know if you’re still looking for a Wiseman fitting kit, but if you are, I’m happy to do a straight swap with you of the kits if you’ve got the original BMW one!

Here are the pics.
I only got the hardtop with the fixings yesterday so haven’t cleaned them up or anything.
looks like they fit just where the normal BMW ones would fit
I’m in Watford, Hertfordshire (miles from Cornwall!)
I would just want your BMW ones as a straight swap assuming they’re all fine and in damaged

Hello bud. Looks like you also had the same problem as me. The Weismann fitting kit is so hard to come by..

That fitting kit you posted looks like it is from the bmw hardtop
There are 3 types / styles of roofs and each has a fitting kit too..

Your best bet is to try get some handles and fitting kit and put them in your roof or get another roof with a fitting kit already till you can find the Weismann ones


alternatively you can swap the wiesmann handles around and it’ll sort of fit on the bmw kit but with some extra bolts and some ties on it for the time being it’ll rattle a lot though
