I have for sale a complete set of MINT as new style 78 sport alloys, becoming extremely difficult to find good ones.

2 x 7.5 x 17 front

2 x 8.5 x 17 Rears

Prefer collection from North East, but may be able to meet.

I agree, I think they are an amazing wheel, and as you say’ Very Very Rare’ I’ve never seen another set on a car, only seen them in pictures.
I bought the very last set of Style 78 bolted split rims from BMW in Germany, I bought them brand spanking new and they are on my Z3, they’ve done approx 1,000 miles and are in MINT unmarked condition, staggered 8” fronts and 8.5” rears, I’m contemplating selling as I have some alternative wheels for my Z3 and need some finance as I want some 19’s for my E86.
They look stunning on my Z3. If I sell they will be expensive, I also have a spare front and rear wheel, ‘just in case’.

Too right they will, when available to purchase these wheel were £2,500 for the set, ‘without tyres’,
I would hope to achieve 4 figures (with tyres), but then if they are sold whoever may purchase them will have probably own the most rare of all Z4 upgrade alloy wheels and have a spare front and rear wheel in case of damage Into the bargain.

You have idea the amount of searching I had to do to find anything on these wheels. I actually have a set I took of a wreck and have been trying to locate some kind of idea for a price range. I’ve always known they are relatively rare and pricey but wow I wasn’t expecting this.

I have never seen another set of these wheels not even on a Z4, these wheels were an option on the E85/86
