A great opportunity for a panel manufacturer to make a fortune. Just manufacture BMWZ3 outer sills at a reasonable price and you will be rich. The price quoted on such places as eBay and other sites is ridiculous.

Sounds good but the cost to make the tools. The steel presses to punch out and shape the panel makes this soooo expensive. When you're punching thousands of panels it's cheap but to make just a few it's really not viable.

Maybe sat in some dusty corner of the BMW works is the jigs and dyes for the manufacture off said sills. In this day and age a metal press can be programmed to make a copy of the colossus of Rhodes if so desired; Z3 sills should be piece of cake. Even the fibre glass ones are quite expensive for what they are. Maybe people like me should not try and keep classic and older cars on the road.
