BMW Z3 Key not working after battery replacement

Hi all,

It's me again.

The keys of my 1998 Z3 Convertible were functioning well right before I replaced the batteries inside.

Right after I replaced the batteries, both keys cannot open/lock door locks by pressing the buttons on the key.

Searched from Google and find that I have to re-program the key.

Have tried several methods like turn on and off the ignition 5 times and hold lock and press 3 times unlock (or hold unlock and press 3 times lock)....all method cannot solve the problem.

Anyone has idea on how to fix it?

My keys weren't working at the weekend :p
