The before pictures were taken yesterday and was a bit over cast. I cleaned the hood today, and it was a lot sunnier outside so the after pictures look brighter!

This is the first pass, and will give it another good go over and then seal it. But pretty impressive results already. Hood is a bit faded and either needs recolouring or replacing in the next year, but it's water tight and that all that matters.

Before:

Used the Autoglym Fabric Hood Cleaning Kit as I always have previously!

The rinse bucket I used for washing the sponge regularly!

After:

Wow what a difference , our hood needs cleaning , better get down to halfords ;)

Good job Gary however it was in a right state before you started :wtf:

I always use this product with good results never had any problems and after use the rain "beads" like paintwork indicating to me it is well sealed. How do you re colour please Gary?

Quite shameful, I do apologise to anyone viewing the pictures.
It just makes the 'after' pictures look even better. Great job Gary.

I love this stuff - nice work! I get quite excited when it rains and you can see the beading on top of the roof - proper sad I know! =))

I use this stuff. The beading is cool!

Was there a lot masking the paintwork Gary

Ray, when I did mine I just shut a dust-sheet in between the windscreen & the side windows and the roof. I used a paintbrush to work it into the weave of the roof and any that dripped on the paintwork I wiped up immediately. I think the problems about getting it off paintwork and windows is if you let it dry.
As said above it's a great product and mine still beads after 12 months:) (She has been in the garage and a car cover SORNed for 5 months though:()

I haven't proofed the hood yet Ray, I'm still debating in my head whether to by some blue hood dye.

But when I did it last time I was a bit lazy and sprayed it without masking. Didn't get much in the way of overspray and got decent coverage. With a mint car like yours I would do as, err, Mint says ;)
