It's here in Swindon and I'd already spotted it advertised. In fact I had that in mind when I said a £12-15k was possible with modest mileage. The z3m I was looking at is on the auto trader site its done 82k and up for only £12700. It’s a 2000 model and they are claiming it’s a 325bhp. So I’m thinking this is an absolute bargain. Until I see the pictures of the engine and think to my self this is a s50 not a s54. This is being sold by a dealer. How can they get it so wrong.
dealers that do this waste people’s time and to me its false advertisement.
If it’s to good to be true it normal is.
This is what hi advert used to say until I emailed them. It says facelift model (see below)It's here in Swindon and I'd already spotted it advertised. In fact I had that in mind when I said a £12-15k was possible with modest mileage.
In fairness to the dealer he doesn't claim it's an S54 and I believe Autotrader automatically populate that data.
The ///M's did get a slight facelift at some point. They definitely got the facelift headlamps, possibly the interior roof lining (I'm not sure if the early ///M's came with this). At some point the centre console changed, the part around the hazard switch either has a black plastic surround or is stitched (pre-facelift I believe). The S54 version also got updated gauges inside, they are grey instead of black as well as the speedo cluster being grey around the dials plus shadow chrome wheels. There may be more slight variations but these are ones I know of. The actual shape of the car stayed the same throughout though. This is what hi advert used to say until I emailed them. As we all know the shape of the m didn’t change but the engine did.
We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this stunning BMW Z3M Roadster 3.2 Facelift model in Estoril blue with 2 tone black/blue leather interior with black soft top roof.
Just for the record, does the 2.2 seem really slow after driving the 3.0? How much different are they? CheersI have two Sport models, one a 2.2 and the other a 3.0, both facelift.
TBH, no. In fact anybody who I've been with on many of our cruises would confirm the 2.2 is by no means slowJust for the record, does the 2.2 seem really slow after driving the 3.0? How much different are they? Cheers
That’s brilliant, is this the spec of your 3.0?
Not sure about 15 months. My 2.2 was born in Feb 2002 but not registered till Sept '02Is it common for a car to be produced 15 months before registration?
Not uncommon. I was in the trade for 5 years, all dealers will have compounds, often abroad and cars can be sat for considerable time. This one was born on the 27/03/01 and registered in 17/06/02 seems to have been sat around for 15 months.
Don’t suppose it’s a problem.
You may wish to go back and edit that to https://www.mdecoder.com/ , your link leads to your car. Not a big thing, but in todays data-sensitive world
