Up for sale is a James Bond “GoldenEye” spec BMW Z3, finished in Atlantic Blue with Beige leather interior.

I bought this Z3 as a project with the intention of restoring her, but a change in circumstances (acquired a 3.0 Z4) means she now needs a new owner who can bring her back to glory. Mechanically solid with MOT until September 2026, she has great potential.

Condition Summary

Bodywork:

• New damage: driver’s wing mirror needs replacement but secure fine for now, small dent in driver’s door (see photos)
• Small lacquer peel spot on bonnet
• Some small bubbling/rust spots consistent with age
• Few scuffs/dings
• Passenger side mirror cracked (needs replacement cap)

Interior:

• Driver’s bolster shows wear (would benefit from leather touch-up)
• Rev counter occasionally sticky, likely a contact clean
• Door card pin loose on driver’s side
• Small trim missing around handle

Hood:

• Power roof raises but doesn’t lower (manual override works)
• Headlining sagging – common issue, could be tightened or replaced

Alloys & Tyres:

• Alloys clean, no kerbing
• Near-side front tyre new; driver’s side front close to limit
• Rear tyres good tread but older

Underneath:

• Clean on inspection, sills in good shape

History

• MOT records show steady early use, with 42k miles added 2008–2012
• Since 2012, only 4,500 miles covered
• No original service book, but invoices included (see photos)

Final Note

A fun driver as-is, or an ideal light restoration project – now even better value due to the recent (and frustrating!) damage.

Unbelievably, while parked up ready for sale, this car was hit by a driver who then drove off. As a result, it needs a replacement
