I am kelvin nd I live in Africa,Ghana to be specific and I own a bmw z1 which it does do not come back up. And really want to use the badly which is in a good condition and can anyone help me on how to work it out

Hello and welcome to the forum. I assume you are referring to the doors not "coming back up"? I don't have a Z1 but I'd check things like micro switches, broken wiring, electrical connections, fuses etc. Also check that the door guides/runners are clear and that there are no obstructions such as screws coming out, or things stuck in the tracks. Hi and welcome. If you can get it there is an edition of a UK tv program called wheeler dealers. On that they rebuild a Z1 and part of that is repairing a broken door mechanism. If it is something else tell us what it is.

While the Z1 is a rare car there will be some here that can help in some way.

Just a thought.................if ONE door doesn't come back up, there could be several reasons for the problem. But is BOTH doors aren't functioning at the same time, check the items that could affect both doors at the same time such as a fuse...............Frankie
