BMW spares policy sucks!

I needed 4 of these fixings that go on the rear bumper…..

There is only 4 on the car……

BMW brought in a spares policy a while back of only suppling fixings in bags of 10

I did speak to the parts guy who was a bit embarrassed about it and appreciated my frustration…..
So how much did this cost????

Same with a lot of the small pieces like that Malc and not just Bmw most of the manufacturers have similar protocols for these sorts of bits.

You can always sell the spare ones, but then you have to find someone who wants the same parts.

Malc, stick the other 6 on eBay for £27.99 OEM stock, some numpty will buy them

That reminds me, I need to fish out the credit card and get back on the Bay.

I think it dealer policy and not headquarters decision.
Probably they do not want to stock parts.

Easier stock management really. Stock 1 bag (contents 10) or stock 10 individual parts. Nothing new, Chrysler (later Peugeot Talbot) used yo do this in the 70s.
