Hi All,

I've got an ABS light on the dash and when trying to connected the OBD i cant access the ABS side of things, i can get into the "clear engine light ect " part but i cannot read the ABS faults.

the OBD powers up but throws up a communication error.

has anyone on here had this issue before?

i would be forever in your debt if you can point me in the right direction. I really want to get the car MOT d and be out in the sunshine.

Thanks in advance.

Nath

You need to use the round 20 pin diagnostic port in the engine bay

Mine is near the off side suspension tower. It's approx 50mm dia black circular connection

Both my cars are prefacelift 2.8 and my diagnostic port is on the left side of the engine near the suspension tower. You need to unscrew the black round cover

The one under the dash isn't just for the engine, if you have an Auto it reads that too.

Clear the codes and run the car, some of these could be historical. If/when the lights illuminate again re read the codes and see what appears.
