Hi all,

As I want to bring my Z3 to the original spec I have bought the BMW Business RDS Phillips PH7850 radio. Unfortunately it came with no code and seller claims he doesn't have it. Does anyone happen to know the code generator app that works or any other way I could get the code for it?

Here are the numbers from my radio unit:
PH785011481021
22DC785/24

Ebay? got to be worth £1.99

I have tried a few on eBay but they are just replying to me that my serial number has not been found in their databases. Any idea why could that be?

Ask on the ecoustics forum - someone there will get the code for you

I got some answers on other forums and unfortunately in my case eeprom needs to be read/reprogrammed ad the code for my radio is not found in any databases. I have ordered eep reader from eBay and hopefully soon I'll be able to update my progress here.

Yes, I had to remove chip 24c16 from the board as the clips that the reader came with was too small but I have managed to read the code and replace value as per screenshot below. The radio does not ask for the code anymore.

I tested it in my E39

I wish I had a tool like this but couldn't find the right size online:

That's a lot of work but well done!

Hi mate, I'm in a similar situation and already have an EEPROM programmer but what software are you using there?
