and on the second part ? Well lets just say I was amazed when I had them pull up along side on the dual drag to the Silverstone Circuit.:whistle::whistle::rally:
I wondered who it was rushing to get by us with lights flashing then hogging the outside lane. How did we leave 10 mins after and arrive before and then someone said 'Girls were navigating' say no more.

And I thought I was bad going through rears at 6k miles...
Clearly some traction issues (ie lead boot with no modulation) causing fast wear but quite an even wear pattern. Impressive for any BMW let alone a Z to get that. You can get the cords on the inside and have untouched shoulders on some!

Got to remember to switch them over on the rims every couple of months Lee!

WARNING!!!!! THIS NEXT UPDATE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO SIT DOWN!!!!

Well all you fellow Zedders by now that didn't attend @Rha @BMBabe Birthday meet up on Sunday are wondering what we have all been hinting at

We now have permission to reveal what we all got up to at our last meet up point.

This is how it all started............. most of the group turned up at the last up meet up point at the Silverstone Race Circuit visitors centre to have what they thought would be a nice coffee and cake, but NO it was closed!

After such a lovely day I was stood there thinking now what this is kinda lame!!! @Lee was in the middle of the group and I was praying for him to turn up soon and put on his usual show to give us some entertainment. Just as I looked up after thinking of ideas I hear the roar of the Z3M cruising up in to Silverston and on perfect cue Lee drove straight in to the Caterham car park and did a few doughnuts (@Lee never fails to entertain!!

Little did we know he got caught on camera by the Silverstone security chaps who then drove over to nicely say not to do it again -and the gent that Lee was promptly apologised to them. The security guy (Morris) asked who was the organiser, so I piped up and said I was the instigator and its was my birthday. I then asked him "you do know about us being here it was all arranged" which he replied yes. I said to him that your cafe is closed and we was promised it would be open, he then replied I will see what I can do - in fact he look kinda embarrassed that we turned up for nothing.

So me being me I thought I have to try something so I grabbed hold of his arm and started to beg - YES BEG - him if we could at least drive round the outside of the circuit in conyoy (I kinda went please please please please please while still holding on to his arm jumping up and down reminding him its my birthday please please please...

He said let me see what I can do he then said "I think i can do better than that" but i need to speak with the club owner (Gaz), he then drives off (right now I am running around the whole group like the crazy person they all now know I am informing them of the conversation).

He was only away a few mins and came back just as @GazHyde was coming in to Silverstone. Well I've never seen Mr H look soooo white as I approached his car I didn't get a word in he just asked are we getting kicked out, I was smiling sooo much and said its better that...................................

If your talking about the second leg to Silverstone then your completely missinformed. You see Gaz and myself got together at Stowe and set the second wave up to make it more interesting and to get some extra miles in. I was to lead them out and pretend to get us lost, but if truth were known I REALLY WAS LOST and Gaz took over to get us back on course hence the really enjoyable extra miles. HaHaHa. Don't believe me???? Just ask Dave he was pulling his hair out just behind me.=))

To expand a little on what Stacey has just posted, the Security team (Morris in the Mitsubishi pickup truck and Mark the other security guard) sorted this off their own backs. At first they said we could take pictures on the F1 grid, but were not allowed to put them on the internet in case it caused them issues with their jobs.

As we left after what must have been a total of 10 minutes of driving on the service roads, and 15 minutes on the grid we were taken back out down the F1 pit lane and exited the track. Just as we were near the gates Morris pulled over and got out to chat with Stacey, Rha and I. He asked who we had spoken to about arranging using the coffee shop and it was his boss. Then he changed his position, and said that if we emailed her directly to thank him and Mark we could ask for permission to post the photos.

Last thing Sunday evening I emailed the contact at the circuit with a big grovelling thank you email. Late this afternoon I got a reply back and we are now good to go with posting the final updates to the day :)

So thank you to everyone who attended the day for their patience.

What fabulous photos Mint :)
Looks like you all had a great day :)
Bet some heads were turned when all the Zs were about :)
Yes, it was brilliant Shelly:D, we were in the second group and towards the back so lots of Zeds had passed people before us. It was great to see the looks on their faces. You really will have to come over for the next one.:)

I couldn't work out what was going on between Stowe and Silverstone.....it seemed we were lost, we doubled back, we seemed lost again...so I decided it was safest just to just follow my satnav. I might have arrived all on my own after the first group but I did get there in the end!!
