I suspect many of us are old enough to remember the record breaking feats of the Campbells.
Just found this - After being recovered a few years ago, the wrecked water speed breaker is, with Gina's blessing, being rebuilt to ride the waters again. Not record breaking attempts, but one last hurrah before going to a museum.

Will be watching out for a date of the day it returns to the water or at least see it in the Ruskin Museum.
 
Yes I do remember that day when Bluebird rose up and flipped backwards into Conistone Water? Ian.

I remember it on t.v too, was only a nipper though ;) Saw pictures of its recovery in Lake Land motor museum on Andy M's cruise. Personally I think they should have left him where he 'fell' especially as I believe they never found the skull decapitated when the nose of the craft broke away. How much of it will be original though after the rebuild?
