Blue black replacement seat.

Hello chaps,

I have a 3 litre z3 with a blue black interior. Oregon leather. The car has done 180,000 miles and the leather on the driver seat is just about knackered. Does anybody have a passenger seat in the same trim colour? I can then swap the skin from that onto my driver seat. Happy to pay for the whole seat and collect.

Two issues with what you want im afraid
Firstly unfortunately sports seats are quite rare and expensive second hand you very rarely see single seats for sale.
Second issue is the seat belt plastic guide will be on the wrong side if you remove the guide and swap to outer side of seat will leave 2 holes and marks on the leather where it was originally fitted.


How bad is the original seat .
Furniture Clinic do some great repair and dye kits ( along with online how to videos) that would repair your damage.
This is the M seats i currently have in my Dakar as you can see on the before pictures bolster very badly damaged colour change also required as the arizona sun colour clashed with the yellow on the car .
Black on seat still original but yellow is now rolls royce yellow.

Due to the severity of the damage repair is not 100% but more than passable and looks no different 4 yrs on.

Maybe you could post some decent photos of the seats and its issues and then you could get some advice on how repairable is may be as i am one of a few members on here who have attempted this and may be able to offer some advice.

Sorry for the dealy in getting these photos posted. I've been a bit busy. I'm grateful for any advice anyone may have on restoring the seat.

Leather dye will sort lots of those issues but go to an upholstery shop. Some are quite reasonable and will refoam the squab to give it more padding at a good price
