Blow the cobwebs away

Enjoy the scenery and those amazing roads  When Hugh gave us our guided tour the roads were empty. They must have heard I was coming =))

A great idea Jim, I'm thinking of doing the first (of probably many) recce's of a run round the local country lanes for the September gathering. Have a great day out.

Tony.
need to skype you for an opinion on something. If you can skype me now, go ahead, I think the internet connection is good enough. Frankie

should be at elan valley visitor centre for around 12:30 if anyone is around
We were there about 1pm @TaffZee .we didn't leave our place very early as i got up late (as usual),went the M42, M5 then across the A44 which seemed to take for ever but a nice road to drive :rally:.
That took us straight to the visitor centre but we parked at the top across from the dam and walked down. The dam is breath taking and the noise from the water surging down it was almost deafening.
from there we drove Northwards and saw another 2 dams :). It's shame we didn't you see there :meh:
@miller1098 unfortunately as the daylight was fading we didn't go to the places you recommended.....but that's a good excuse to go back some time :D.

Good pics Bozzy and with people in them it puts the whole size of the dam in to perspective.....
Thanks HT,Sara took them on her new phone......it takes better pics than my entry level DLSR .
Just a shame there was no where at the time to get the zed in the frame.

I love the deer stalker Tony but i can only take so much admiration whilst wearing it so it's consigned to the bottom draw now .

A stetson...nowt wrong with that....just be careful with those spurred boots that go with it ;)

Great pics Sara, @Mrs Mint and I need to go and see the dams for ourselves now:whistle:
It's well worth visiting Dave, but if you go after heavy rain be wary with all the water and associated stuff that washes across the roads with your new paint job,our zed was ditched when we got back home and the passing places were covered in black sludge....but it was worth it :D
Let us know if you decide to go there I'd like to go back, could have a mini cruise may be.

Steve

No cow s*** down there mate, it's all horrible, oops sorry, arable land!;)
