I'm glad you had a clear day on the mountain as it's mandatory to enjoy the whole picture!
As i remember the entrance fee gives you permission to enter for 30 days, each day! I always said that one day is not enough.
I've seen there people in camping chair or fishing three legs chair, contempling the landscape for hours! It's really very revigorant for mind and body! Worth every penny!

Brian we could of spent a lot longer on it as we did not see everything and did not do the other half after the Glacier turn off.
You need more than one day to really appreciate what it has to offer both in driving and views

Lovely area isn't it boys and girls! My paternal grandparents were Austrian and I've never been anyplace else where I felt more at ease and at home. Even our Rockies didn't give me the same feelings. Try the day trip to the top of the Zugspitz near Birchesgarten on your way back. Highest mountain in the German/Austrian Alps! Even has a border crossing at the top!! I Guarantee you'll love the trip up and down as you'll be travelling inside the mountain! What views you'll see! JIM
