Tiny update, finally got the last bits back from the coaters, they powder coated bits that should of only been blasted. Also the detailer started working his magic today. Few shots showing today’s progress, I’m hoping to get her in for an MOT tomorrow.
Finally painting the carriers after grit blasting
hanging to dry
Next up I rebuilt the front callipers
few fiddley minutes later, should get home without smoking now
Whist I was under the car fitting various under trays Marcus started working his magic.
lots of masking
some early results, always hard to see without seeing it in person. The cosmos black really pinging in the sun.
some nice reflections.
he’s ceramic coated the wheels so they can set overnight ready for me to get her outside.
Wow, that reflection - stunning! At last, no more smelly brakes - hopefully that related judder is no more - and no more wandering next Basingstoke trip is going to be more exciting than when I picked it up the first time - thanks to everyone involved
So today I got wheels on the ground and Marcus finished detailing. Marcus passed on some info, the wheel coating will last 1/2 years and the marine wax will last a good year. He also said these panels all look original but has had front and rear bumpers painted before, good to know.
The wheels after ceramic coating.

Why he was doing that I fitted and commissioned the brakes.
Rears
ran out of hours today so I spent this evening going for a test drive and taking some photos.
Ok I've been driving the M for 2 days since picking it up and it is a completely different car. What the Zedshed have done to it is beyond what I could expect - and it was pretty good beforehand but certainly needed improvement. I can only thank Lee, Gaz, Trev, Marcus, Paul and Deano (and mini Deano), including @Nodzed for pointing me in the right direction, plus anyone else who was involved. I'm gradually getting to grips with all the subtle improvements and it's made for a completely different and improved driving experience. As for the look of the car - it just gleams. The wheels are stunning and I've ordered the black bolts for the rear. Still one or two outstanding things which need sorting, which Lee's pointed out, and I'll try and get them rectified this year. It's everything that I was hoping for - it sits and steers solidly but.............I can see my petrol bill doubling with the amount of use it's going to get.
It's been an absolute pleasure meeting you guys with your enthusiasm for these models - and thanks for introducing me to the big breakfast at B&Q car park! Finally, I now know that there's a huge amount of knowledge and luuurve out there for these cars and I'm reassured that Zedshed will help should I have any problems.
Lee, let me know when your next track day is - I'd love to test those bends out a bit more!
BTW - saw my car dealer mate today and he's well impressed with the look
One of the sexiest Z3Ms popped back in the last couple of weeks for some touch ups. Bill’s be playing hard this summer so a quick trip back to us for some love.
First up was to get those wheels looking their best and re ceramic coat them.
much better
sort the bumper alignment.
car needed a good detail, forgot how nice the paint is.
seats removed for some airbag light fault finding, looks like a drivers side airbag tensioner so we’ll get one ordered. Be rude not to hoover
Little bit of gravel rash so she’ll be off to the painters next. Then back for a final service before going back home to @BillH
next update should be her ready for winter hibination.
@Lee you have to stop posting stuff like this - just when I think am done and no more work, I’ll just just drive it, you give me more ideas to spend on

Recommend getting those rear arched PPF'd. I did mine when it was painted last year - you have to look really hard to see the film but it's good to know that paint is protected.
