The ratchet in the lid of the box is my 1/2 inch one for size comparison.

Many years ago I was running a welded steel pipeline ,but part of the work involved bolted flanges on a 48" pipe.
We started off with a 1" air drive impact socket ,but had to complete the job with a "flogging spanner" .
This is getting serious,it's a shortish ring spanner that is hit with a 14lb sledge hammer.
The cost of the tools were high, but we had to test the pipeline to 28bar so were needed

I bought a 3/4 socket set way back when at the time Kamasa tools were just coming in. It only cost around £50, I still have it and have never broken one piece after 30 years.

Tony.

Something being meaning to add to my toolkit for a while not something that I will use every day but will be really handy to have when I do .

That's about the length of it Steve. Now and again I have to use it to loosen an oil filter because I forgot to bring one home. Talk about a sledgehammer to crack a Walnut =))

I'm sure you are skilled in the art of overkill =)).
And for that matter the exact opposite where rather than go and get the right more efficient tool from your box you will persevere with something less effective thats to hand o_O ( if you say you have never done this I won't believe you ):whistle: ;)

Comes with years on the tools Tony

I have a set of those as well Steve but are the ones that pivot, they've come in really handy when needed.

I bought the Kamasa 1/4 drive set around the same time, the ratchet died and the tommy-bar is more of a tommy-s but the rest still works. The bu88ers'll outlast me at this rate.

Same here Mick, I bought the 1/4" drive set from a supermarket in Gainsborough 40 years ago only parts replaced are the ratchet and 8 and 10 MM. sockets replaced by Snap-On tools and this gets used every day of the working week.

Tony.

A few of my things are now Halfords advanced ( lifetime guarantee) bought all 3 off my screwdriver sets when on deal dearest was £8 not on a deal £20 plus a set same as the 3/4 set retail at £250 currently on special at £125 with my trade card £106.25.
I can live with that price not bad for what you get .

There will be a fairly comprehensive set of tools for sale soon so if you're interested please PM me.

@Grumps you'd better put a bid in Dave to protect your interests =))

He even asks for an adjustable screwdriver Garry @Jack Ratt and a warm chisel , 'cos it's cold today =))=))

Tony.

Don't tempt me, I have got too many already.

You can never have too many Mike =)). It's the extra tool boxes that I'll struggle to house.

Tony.

You know where I would like to house them mate :)
