Best way to clean 'chrome' gills?

Hi. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to clean chrome gills?

I have just fitted a used set to my car and want to polish them up, but am worried about not being too harsh and marking the surface.

Any tips gratefully received.

I just wash them as I would wash the car, fibre mitt and a car wash liquid then shammy. Come up a treat.

Brasso on soft cloth to clean them, then a good quality car polish to shine them up a bit and seal them, both steps with very gentle application used to work well on my old chrome vents.
