Hi all from Sunny Bognor Regis, apologies for the lack of introduction!

I am another proud owner of a 2001 Z3 2.2 sport in the gorgeous Topaz Blau.
I can still remember seeing my first Z3 in the flesh when I'd just passed my test at 17yrs old .....a 2.8 Wide body in silver and I was blown away by its looks and the famous sound of the inline 6
I've been a huge BMW fan since I was a kid mainly due to growing up in two different e30 3series and later e36's. Over the years I've owned all sorts of old and interesting cars from a Rover Mini to a LR Defender V8 (that liked a drink) to an XJ6 300 and had a lot of fun in them over the years.
15yrs later the "Z" was lurking around the corner again! So I took the plunge.
5yrs on I'm still in love with it.
Summer 18 saw my wife and I over two weeks drive the Z down through France and across in to Spain. Driving my pride and joy through central Barcelona was an amazing feeling and although I have done plenty of road trips before, that was bar far the best.
In a 17yr old car that does circa 2k miles a year I was quietly concerned for its reliability so I had a major service done on her and needless to say she never missed a single beat. That trip has galvanised my effection for the car.
Though I have a passion for cars I'm am by no means at all a mechanic! So I thought itca good idea to join this forum from what I can already see is an online encyclopedia of knowledge of Z cars.
It would also be great to attend some meets once this sodding Covid thing is over!

I must have seen you @Mazza driving about, I do give a wave to Z3 owners so I'll look out for you now.
A rebuild sounds like a guy who knows what he's doing!!
Hopefully won't be long before I spot you out about. I'm often at Goodwood motor circuit either walking the dog or having a stop off coffee in the Z (noticed your profile pic).......I have one of those!
Great to be part of this forum guys and once again a huge for the warm welcome!

Fyi that photo was taken close by to Panticosa in the Spanish Pyrenees!
