Front right caliper from Eurocarparts, £69 reduced by 30% (£40 something) in a flash sale today! TBF 'twas the C-in-C that spotted the sale, result :)
 
Got back from Scottish run and went to down load some dash-cam footage it looked great then all of a sudden it vanished and then the camera kept reading stupid messages:banghead: (what do you expect for £15 an Academy award=))) so been spending see photo, you get what you pay for

Next-base from Halfords £89 with 10% off not cheap but the reviews are outstanding WiFi & GPS Next-Base do a decent range from about £50 to £175 the one I have is the 312GW with WiFi & GPS:thumbsup:you can also down load an App to view and down load files to your android phone

Main problem with that type of mount is you may well get some vibration on rough roads, and hence blurred recordings. There is quite a lot of flex in that type of mount even when you tighten the lock nut as tight as you can.

ps. I've found it better to take the card out of the camera and use a card reader into the computer, not sure if you did this as you said the camera was showing messages.

could be the way you have it mounted:pompus: my old cam was mounted the same way with no problems with recordings or vibrations at all so fingers crossed:)
 
I tried it on the windscreen and it was the same, it's ok unless the road is very rough. My front camera is ok, but a totally different type of mount.:)
