Been Spending (what treats have you got lately)

Did some research on Ant's suggestion when I had thoughts of adding a turbo to my 77 Porsche 924. The problem was the lack of room and where to install the rad to get the best effect. So I started looking into NOS as an alternative but that's as far as I ever got, then bought the z3 and the 924 is sitting in my kids yard beside my shop. JIM

Don't see where you can go wrong with the new mod, anything that cools down your fuel charge will fill your cylinders more completely which is what you want. That's why cars run smoother in the cool of morning than the heat of the afternoon. Be watching for results of the test runs. I have a couple of old turbos I'd like to install on my 65 chev corvair which is a 140hp 4 single carb engine air cooled, rear engine. Chevy actually sold the corvair with a single turbo putting out 180hp on a 110 cu in motor, 6cyl. JIM

Well update on the mod for everyone - what tests I have completed my IAT temps have become more manageable - however its going back to the garage so change the fixings to make them more sturdy.

The limitation is that I only have 2 x 1.2 Ltr tanks and ideally needs to be 5 Ltr and is goes through water very quickly. And if I drain the system will cause an airlock - as the water tank is higher than the jets are located.

Some minor tweaks also regarding the switch - so Monday it should be all good.

So I be carrying an 5Ltr bottle of water with me every where I go - reminds me of my old RX8 but that used to be Oil.

Been and had a new stainless steel back box fitted today, will post some pictures when it stops raining.

Got the new spacesaver fitted today. The original fitted tyre isn't made any more so had a 125/80/16 and fits great in the carrier. Just got to bolt it back onto the car over the weekend. The old one was cracked and 16 years old so untrustworthy.

I haven't even got that at the moment but I have a jack. My 535 just has runflats and no room for a spare or a 'mobility kit'

I did have RF's mate, but as you saw they're lurking under an old curtain in my garage. I need to sell those really ready for winter tyres.

Fitted walnut trim to my red Z3 black interior but one peice is wrong and 4 bits are missing. When I have them all and fitted will post pics.
Also ordered S/S stone guards from Ian

You could put a washer motor and no return valve in to the tanks, wen you run out of water fill them up purge the motors and you are back in business, as they are filler bottles anyway you should have no problems sourcing the parts :) P.S. where is your Showcase? This lot should be in one :)

Is that the oil best used for gear box and diff? Mines a 98 2.8 if that makes any difference.

Ta muchly

Andy can't remember if I gave you some feed back on the oil:nailbiting:, anyway yes this oil has made a big difference to the gear box:thumbsup:, changing gear much smoother and a big thank you to Lee in the zed shed for doing it:happy:, I would recommend people to change the gear box oil even thou it's supposed to be life long?o_O it seems to be getting better with each drive?:)

Had mine done to mate, not taken her on a long drive yet but she certainly feels better.

Have you got them on yet mate, mine are getting fitted in the morning
Hi Sean, yes mate fitted them a week last Friday. It was a little slow at work so I asked to "borrow" a ramp and do them.
