A whopping £6 on a car wash two months ago, suppose I had better splash (pun intended) out again in the next few months or so:(

New Genuine BMW Chrome exhaust tips, 2 new strut top covers and a new kick plate for the drivers side. Will post pics when fitted

Hi Sean, I'm naturally wary of coil springs after have one in my face in 1992 off a P205. Modern compressors make it much easier and safer.
On my Z4 struts I couldn't compress the springs enough by simply compressing the spring itself so I had the put the spring on the strut then mount the lower spring cup of the strut on the lower jaw of the compressor and push the spring down against that. If you can get over to Lincoln with your struts I could swap the springs for you maybe?

Well the intention is to use 50/50 mix of mentholated spirits and water - as this has an increase heat discharge - as I have an turbo (didn't you know:whistle:) - I suffer from high intake temperatures.

As spending £1,000 on an new/bigger intercooler is hard to justify - whilst spending £20 is easier to justify. I post some loggs when fitted.
 
I recall reading in one of my old Hot Rod or one of the other mags from the 60's-70's about a system like this that used a gravity feed to inject water/meth combo directly into the fuel charge which also increased HP I believe. Used the windshield washer bottle with a feed line into throttle body or carb. Would love to see how your turbos are hooked in and controlled. JIM
 
Yes you are correct - thats refereed to as meth injection - and the JB4 I have can be used to control this. But with the limitations of the N20 - I dont want to push the engine to far. Basically you inject Meth into the change pipe. This gives extra boost and cooling - if you just use water that will provide kooling only.

Meth = 50/50 mix of water and mentholated spirts

For fuel you can run E85 but no more than 40% - thats another way of getting more power: -

Its interesting though the USA are the leading peeps with engine modding
 
Could you not have a standard intercooler boxed in alloy and create a charge cooler it only needs a pump and an extenal rad.
would you not gain from that or us the standard cooler plastic ended ?
 
A charge cooler in theory jackets the intercooler in a liquid jacket that you cool i imagine it depends on how its filled to how well it cools .
