When it works - it brilliant. It just takes a little patience to get it in and working.
Removing the tape from the cables sufficiently far to clip the new cable clips onto is a real mare. Not friendly stuff at all.
Putting the clips on isn't hard but fiddly to get them connected firmly. It all comes unravelled as you try and push all the cables and connectors back into the space behind the ashtray. It took me a few attempts aver a couple of weeks to get all all connections firmly made and then pushed back while ensuring the connections still worked.
This is why Tony soldered the wires into place.
Even when you've got it in, it takes a few attempts to press the unlock/lock buttons slowly enough for them to be recognised. If you fail an attempt have patience and wait a few seconds before re-trying.
Remember - to Open, its Unlock three times. To Lock, its unlock, unlock, lock. Not intuitive but once learnt you don't forget.
I've found that the remote sometimes works quite a distance away and other times you have to be within a few feet of the car.
p.s. - Might be obvious, but - If you're colour blind - get someone else to help!
