Be Careful with Car Air Freshener

I've just had a email from Retro and they have said it does state on the back of the package to hang freely.:p
So I've just sent another Email saying I hope they can put my car right :)
Don't think they will but I'm trying ;)

Its going to be a semantic argument.
Does it state that it must not be on contact with anything else?
That is the key test.
Also, does it say why? You could infer that it is so that any air-freshener can circulate freely, not that it might cause damage to anything it comes into contact with unless it states that damage may result.

However - Most hang them from the rear-view mirror, but, that could be construed as causing your view to be obstructed. Are they inciting customers to do something illegal? So, where exactly do they suggest that they be hung from.

Its a minefield!

Keep on them Shelly! The sqeekie wheel scenario fits here also get on Tesco and let them know the email is not to your satisfaction and you expect the most to make things right with your car!! JIM

Stating they are not responsible for this :(
As it states on the packaging to hang freely :)
So I've just sent another email saying where are you meant to hang them as it's illegal to hang them from the mirror, and I thought the safest place is where I put it , but I didn't expect that much damage :(
