Be Careful with Car Air Freshener

That is going to be one hell of a long shot @Grumpy.
What is she going to do, ask them to sniff the damaged patch?

Well the tesco saying ,every little helps ,didn't help this time, that's awful Shelley I feel your pain, perhaps putting lavender our something in the ashtray or something else natural , than awful chemicals in that air freshener may be better for you and your pocket.

i had a run in with Tesco about 18 months ago
called in to check my bike tyre pressure,s & the Nozzle ripped out the whole valve
so i,m stuck there no way of fixing the tyre went to the service station manager & showed her what had happen
she said not there fault
i pointed out there was no warnings of any kind about this
so complained to tesco HQ got the cost of the tyre rerpair & 200 in vouchers
if you don,t try you don,t get
try it shelly you never know

I don't like Tesco one sniff but have to disagree with you and @abh29 on this one. We've had a couple of complaints with them in the past and they have been spot on at resolving them.

Please do tell Grumps, did that involve incontinence pants?......:D
No one was a food blender that burnt out very early on and the other was a digital camera that didn't work from new. Not an incontinence pant in sight!

OK, here we go, why are you buying kit like that from Tesco in the first place?

If Tesco say they won't help the next step is your local paper Shelly or local TV channel. They usually like a nice bone to gnag on.;)

Tony.

Agree about not liking them ,makes me sneeze like mad.
Just bit puzzled why you need it , not driving with top are you.

I'm really not sure why I brought it :p
I just see it and got it ;)

Bloody hell! Definitely take it back packaging or not Shelly. You can match it off there shelf. Go to customer services desk with the picture evidence and go in your car in case they send someone out to look at it. Tesco do no like bad publicity. I bet they will pay for the repair if you tell them that's what you want doing.

I'll go to Tesco tomorrow and see what they have to say :p

I might try that too Tony :p
Good idea :)

I think you'll struggle to get anywhere with this, I've read warnings on the packaging for hanging air fresheners before that tell you not to leave in contact with anything :(

I'd guess they all have that info to cover their backs for something like this happening

Sounds like chemical crap to me and you are breathing it in.....
Can't stand the smell anyway.

Yes Shelly, go and fish it out of the bin and do what Dave said, My daughter (who used to work for Tescos) would say go on their facebook site and report it on there and you will get a far better response, but definitely retrieve it, just in case they ask for it!
Sandy

I've put it in a bag in my cupboard Mike @EnthuZiaZT :p
So I'll take it to Tesco with me :)
If I have no luck I'll go on their face book page ;)
Thanks ;)

Yes I did think that their would be warning signs on the packaging :p
But I'll try my luck ;)

These things use solvents that evaporate easily to get the smells airborne - that's why they have warnings on the packaging. I think you will need to check any packaging to see if any such warning was present. If there was I suspect that Tesco simply won't touch any claim you might have. I really hope for your sake that I am wrong though.

I more than likely won't get anywhere with this :p
As you say warning signs must be on the packaging :)
But you never no , let's just hope I see a nice manager at Tesco ;)
