I always thought that the bragging about the Lancaster was that you could fly it home with just one engine... although I can see why they might not want to try that these days!
Too true Gaz,there'd have been lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth if they had crashed it.

The two remaining flying Lancasters fly past "Just Jane" on the ground at East Kirkby today while Just Jane had her engines running. A repeat on September 14th proceeds going towards getting JJ back in the air.
