What do you recon guys, I removed the badges today and photo shopped the lock, this is an easy job for me and I could put a pull behind the drivers seat to release the boot

100% categorically yes!!!!

Certainly looks crisp and clean mate. Boot lock removal idea is good.

I would do the same - if I knew how!

You could always use a central locking solenoid off eBay and wire it to a button type switch to open the boot Sean. That's what I did with my old Eunos. Easy job, if you want to know how.

Tony.

Well all lovely, but you need a less 'busy' plate as well! Otherwise I do like the look a lot.

OK spanner time. What about one of those lift the bmw badge boot openers like a VW I think! That'd be cool.

Looks great without the Z3 or engine size badges and lock button

Like a coupe with no rear wiper

Or maybe like the ones that BMW make

Serisouly though, the 1 series and Z4 coupe have lift up rear badges that release the boot. I'm sure other models do too, so maybe worth a look at dimension on those and see if one could be reworked?

Incidentally had a work colleague who had a 1 series for nearly a year and didn't realise the boot badge worked like that. He'd pop the boot lid on the key and then wedge his fingers in the gap between the boot lid and the bumper. :D

That's a great idea :p
Looks lovely and neat ;)

Just ordered the lock actuator, I am planning on activating it with the light button on the key fob.
Be a nice touch and I would think individual to your car mate.

Thats very nice but this would look better ;)
