Just watched first episode of new series on Yesterday channel called 'Bangers & Cash', set at Mathewsons Classic Car Showroom & Museum in Thornton-Le-Dale, North Yorks. For classic car enthusiasts is looks to be a good show to watch, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A wreck of a genuine 1965 Mini Cooper S went for £18k :eek:

Just looked on the Mathewsons website, link below, their next auction is on Saturday 27th April. The catalogue for that auction includes three Z3 Roadsters, one which has been standing for two years has a guide price of only £300. For that price it must worth taking for spares. Some interesting cars going under the hammer at the auction, might be worth looking at this site at the future auctions to see what comes up. Mind this new show might give them greater coverage and hence increased attendance with higher prices resulting.

Great day out at Mathewsons Auction House and Museum with BMWCC North East and Eastern Region. Meeting both Derek Mathewson and Air TV’s Andy Joynson was fantastic. The way they explained how the TV series Bangers & Cash has developed with some of the experiences they have come across was very enlightening. Derek comes over as such and ordinary sort of fella. If ever you get a chance to visit Thornton-le-Dale and Mathewson's, do so, you won't be disappointed.
Just watch out for the idiots on the motorbikes!!! They treat the road from Stokesley to Pickering like a section of the TT course on the Isle of Man.
