Anyone looking for a very low mileage (39 k) 2.8 in Topaz? Just seen video on the Web site for next months Auction. Seems to me a very reasonable guide price too.

A nice looking Mini on there too.

What is the guide?

£3,200 - £4,200.

I think I counted four Z3s in their May auction. Only pictures of two so far, though.

Lots and lots of bikes next month. I can't help thinking a £10k 1970s RR Silver Shadow is not a terrible idea. Probably is. :)

They have a 1965 Saab 96 coming which I am going to keep an eye on. Seminal car for me as it's a two stroke! Shame it's LHD.

When I was at College one of the Lecturers had an old Saab but it had the Ford V4 that was used in the Transit and Mk.1 Consul.

Tony.

Yes the V4 was a more common engine, I think they used it from about 1969.
The 2 stroke was a 900cc three cylinder with 'free-wheeling hubs' to help with fuel economy. Do around 20mpg on a motorway run if you go steady. No auto mixing, so you have to pre-mix the petrol IIRC.
Still an iconic car; rallying trail blazer.

One step up, or down, from petrol/parrafin tractors we used to work on at College.

Tony.

That Topaz Blue 2.8 looks absolutely spot on. 39k mileage, estimate at £4k, got to be more than that surely.
The vendor obviously took some serious pride in it.
Anybody know the car ??
