Some interesting stuff and what looks like a barn find lotus cortina mk1
Probably not very good ! When we parked there the shops were open and we were lucky to find a space also there is a pub and a pretty stream with ducks ect so it is a very nice place to stop anyway without a car auction to visit.I often wondered what it is like to park on sale day.
The whole setting is nice the location is picturesque the stream the pub tea rooms and little shops. Mathewsons really doubles as a museum as well as an auction which makes it interesting and a nice touch is having to pay £1 to look around which goes straight in a charity pot. We have been reasonably lucky weather wise when you see other parts of the country yes it’s crap for June though. Still a nice break though catching up with relatives.Great place to visit if you are in the area. Makes the watching of the TV show even more interesting. After a visit there a few weeks ago and listening to Derek give the BMWCC members a 30mims talk on the history of the auction he really comes across as a genuine bloke.
The stock looks to have changed bit since we were there, some interesting stuff to go under the hammer.
Weather is a bit rough up here at the moment hope you still manage to enjoy the break.![]()
My uncle Jack had one years ago. We used to ride to the local station to collect the fish for his fish and chip shop. Seems like 5 minutes ago . . . .
