One of my ball pins has become loose (sorry if it sounds like a personal problem!).
Real OEM lists the pins as "Ball pin M8 41218398702" for the bonnet. Does not appear to list them for the boot stays. The bonnet pins seem to have a thread but the boot pins appear to be domed and screw into a captive stud (which has become loose on one side) on the boot hinge. Does anyone know if these are integral to the boot hinge, thereby not available separately?
Not the greatest of issues, but would like to sort this properly before replacing the rather worn stays.
Cheers, Ian:thumbsup:

Looks like part of the hinge to me. Always happy to be proved wrong, mind. Perhaps if the ball is the same size then a riv-nut could come in useful, fit one of them and screw in a bonnet ball-pin thing.

Also think it is part of the hinge, as above. Have ordered a bonnet ball pin (looks same ball size) so might get away with a M8 nut if the threat is long enough. We shall see!

Integral part of the hinge, I think, they are pressed in, you could fit a bonnet one as there is space for a nut behind.

Yep, that's it in the picture. Looks pressed in. Some how the stud end on my RHS hinge has come loose and there is a 2/3mm gap which allows quite a lot of movement and some "rattle room". Hopefully the new M8 ball pin will provide a fix.
