Be careful where you place candles when lit, curtains etc. Working smoke alarms save lives, test and change the batteries at least annually if not a sealed unit.
Don't overload sockets or daisy chain extension leads as they may overheat and cause a fire.
Ensure all doors are closed when you go to bed at night to ensure you have a safe passage of escape down and out. Closed doors may save yours and your families lives!

Extinguish cigarettes properly and don't empty the ash tray in the bin last thing at night (potential hot embers). Don't smoke in bed, people do and often don't make it.
