Hi all,
I'm glad to be back after a last couple of months of a dose of Pleurisy. Not nice, and I do not want it again, thank you!
Also, I had a problem with 'Zheenar', the yelow engine icon came up on the dash and she started missfiring. A quick call to Rybrook at Shrewsbury and a very helpful John Owen sugested that, rather than go all the way up to Shrewsbury, that I contact Cotswold in Hereford, about an hours less drive.
Contact made, and again very helpful folk, told me to bring it in last Monday. A few hours after arriving and all was sorted. The coil and plug on No.4 cylinder was braking down. Car washed and valeted, tyres and brakes checked as a matter of course, and we were away. All under warranty. I must admit I did floor it a bit on the way back and, for the first time tried the second 'sports mode'. Boy, am I glad I took spare underpants with me!! Can't wait to give it a go again:ymdevil::ymdevil:.

I was not a fan of the new i8, but after seeing one in the 'flesh' (should that be 'metal'!) at Cotswold, I think I am in love! Sitting there in the showroom in all its glory was a metallic grey i8. Yes, I'm certainly not keen on the 'orange' colour shown in the mags, but this was stunning! I want one! in fact I want two, one for the weekend. But at over £120k I don't think that I will be getting one soon!!
All the best guys and girls.
Colin.

Welcome back. I had Pleurisy once, not nice!!
Glad you are on the mend and agree with your comments on the i8. Really stunning when seen for real. Glad you got the misfire sorted.

Hi Colin, glad to hear your on the mend mate. I blagged a sit in an i8 in Florida a couple of years ago and the owner told me where his office was and to go see him for a ride one day.

Ha,ha. It's a free world Paul!

Good show, glad all is well

Welcome back :p
I've also had pleurisy, not nice :)
Glad your well now ;)

Many, many thanks for all the 'welcome backs':thumbsup:. They were very much appreciated.
I'm just glad Zheenar is well again, I gave her a polish and a waxing just before I got the lurgi, all done by hand, she looked great but I was knackered! Still that should be a distant memory now, my lads bought me (sorry, Santa brought me) a Royobi polisher for Christmas. I have not been able to use it yet and I'm waiting for the weather to be a bit kinder:rolleyes:. I have to admit though, even though it was hard work, the benifits of a polish and wax makes a difference when it does get dirty. A quick spray with the hose and a wipe down and she's looking great again.
Looking forward to the summer now and the chance to go on one or two of the 'runs'. I'll keep a eye on the Event List.
Cheers all:thumbsup:, Colin.

Good to hear you are well again - welcome back!:)

Glad your ok now. Nice car the i8.p I have sat in one. A guy up the road from me has 1. A lot of money for me but don't think that's a problem for him. He also has two range rovers, a Porsche, Mercedes AMG, Tesla oh and a couple of measly Ferrari's. Can't be a bad life

Welcome back and pleased to hear you are better:) Now get Zedding and post lots of pictures :p

Thanks, BMBabe, and yes, I will be Zeding as soon as I can, just waiting for this darned snow to blow over!
But saying that, now I only have Zheenar as a ride she is a multi-tasker for everyday use!
Colin.
