Hi All,
I must first appologise for my very long absence. A lot has happened over the last few years, my constant companion and friend, Honey passed away and then I had to have a knee replacement. Now my right leg moves faster than my left leg which means that I keep going around in circles!
But things have started to improve and I am begining to get back into the swing of things again. Yay!
My friend and I went on a rally of BMW cars organised by a local hotel owner here in Llandrindod. A great day out, and all types of cars, including a couple of Z3's, classic early saloons and the car we were following, an i8. Oh how I love that car! But it will never be, too expensive!

A thought occured to me the other day, I have a front facing dashcam but not a rear facing one. Has anyone fitted a rear facing camera to their Z's? No point in fitting it to the rear window, unless you want an exciting view of the inside of your boot when the top is down. So, I pressume that you would have to fit the camera to the number plate. I know there are rear reversing cameras that can be fitted to the number plate, but can you get the dashcam ones fitted?
I have not gone into it fully so there maybe solutions out there I have just not seen.

Anyway, It's good to be back :):), Colin.

Welcome back. @t-tony has done so I believe.

Hi Colin, I have a rear facing camera on my E89 Z4 and also had one on my E85 Z4.
If your car is a Z3 you will need an Acrylic type of wind blocker.
Also you need a certain type of suction type mount because of the angle of the screen. I'll add some pictures later so will get what I mean.
The issue is the you fix to the inside of the front screen and the outside of the rear one.

Tony.

Im in Llan'dod end of this month with work...not in Zed though!

Many thanks for the 'welcome back' Andy, even as I was writing the post I was thinking; 'I bet Tony has fitted one!'.
Hi Tony, nice to hear from you again. Yes, I would appreciate some pics, the Z4 is an 23i M sport 2.5ltr.
Hi @bombur, I didn't think anyone came to Llan'dod to do any work! =)) Safe journey

Have a pan Wales team and Llan'dod works as a good central point to meet :)
