So, we can tell your age by what you played with (and how you played) as a child!
In the local orchards, cooking apples on the end of a sharp whippy stick and then lob them at each other....
You got hit by one and you new it.

Sounds similar to my childhood HT, throughout the summer We would be out from first light until dark, mainly birds egging, I would walk miles and miles and be climbing trees all day long, Life seemed much simpler then and a lot safer.Yep, I am talking 1969 when I was seven. Do the math chaps....
Played outside all day, came home covered in mud and never got ill, never killed anyone, well, with the exception of throwing spears at each other when one went through a lads welly boot and his foot.
Could have been worse.....
mainly birds egging,
Wow, that's a blast from the past, used to do that and then blow the eggs out to make your collection.
Probably get arrested now for doing that.
it is illegal now and I think it was back then.
I could still tell you most British birds eggs now just by looking, I love springtime as I take my daughter nesting, we go looking but thats all, I do still climb but nothing to high, I can't resist climbing to see what is in a holes in trees, we found, kestrels, Tawny Owl, barn owl this year.Probably was and I only took one also, those were the rules, so to speak, but as a kid, I could tell you from which bird the egg came from just by looking at it.....how many kids could/would know that these days?
That's my girl!! Joan says I never left my childhood and my response is when it becomes law that we must grow up maybe then I will being the law abiding citizen I am! I hope you stay young forever Stacey!! JIMWho said you have to ever grow up![]()

No bloody Teletubbies crap, had a friends five year old kid tell me once that Tinky Winky was gay!
