We all know about the theft of cars keys to get away with your vehicle, but, there seems no end to what some thieves will do.

Last night at 8pm, a neighbours dog started barked frantically banging and crashing while they were sat watching TV. Even though it's only a pup they investigated to find three men wearing balaclavas on their conservatory roof trying to break in upstairs.

Somebody had just spotted these three in the street being suspicious as they put the hoods on so police were already on their way, but sadly, they were just two minutes too late. One of many break ins recently all targeted at getting car keys.

Not good mate! With 1 you'd stand a chance but 3 no chance. Just hand over the keys and hope they do one.

How frightening :(
It must be a horrible experience :(
It happened to me once a long time ago :(
But the people never got in ......
But all the back door was a complete mess :(

You're right there. Would like to think that one would be leaving without the use of their legs but of course giving up the keys is the right and only thing to do.
About time the manufacturers stepped up the security they offer through the use of technology that they already have on board their cars. They can reverse your car into a parking spot but they can't stop some toe-rag from making off with your hard earned vehicle because of civil rights.

A remote immobilizer is the answer I think.

Tony.

Turn your back for two seconds and look what happens!

Vultures are circling

Steve couldn't get up there - the air is getting a bit thin for him at that height ;)

Cctv is the answer while it won't stop them at least your have them on video.
I have both cars covered by cctv. It's also interesting watching what happens out side your home while I'm at work

They have extensive cctv because she is a childminder. These toe rags simply hid their faces. CCTV was just an inconvenience.

I spent last weekend helping my son to fit cctv to his house. Lots of swearing and cussing routing the cables, but it was worth it!
The woman across the road had her car stolen during the night a couple of weeks ago. Apparently the SOB's used an app to check for car security systems. Not sure how it works but they got away with it. I wonder if it is the same gang working in the area (midlands) as 'Redline', there were a few attempts in the area at the same time.
You can bet your last penny that if one had fallen off the roof and broken a leg they would have sued, and won!!!!
Colin.

Burglary is a horrible thing, a mate of mine had cameras and could see see 2 of them in his house from his bedroom at 3am. He lives in Thailand so he knew better than to challenge them, since many of the household have loads of electronic devices that are easy to sell for drug money I imagine the figures must be on the way up in the UK. I know violent crime is and still the force gets chopped!

My mate lost a load of electronics. He never felt safe again, he and his wife moved and took a course at the local shooting range.
