As long as my white cane can find the car, I'm good to go..................Frankie
I used to have a mate who drank heavily and said if he could walk to the car he was OK to drive home!! :wideyed::facepalm:

I have lost count of the number of road traffic accidents that I have been to over the years. Whether they were fatal, injury or damage only I would say the vast majority were caused by human error as opposed to any other reason. The roads are busier than ever now and there are far too many distractions (phones, sat navs etc) for the driver. The road system is falling apart and the roads are full of holes. Everyone seems to be in a rush and nobody has any manners, patience or common sense when it comes to driving. I suppose that could apply to life in general too these days. Road traffic policing is not a priority anymore which is due to the cuts of the last 10 years. Standards are dropping and they are not going to get better anytime soon.

Spot on in a nutshell.

It's a funny thing that I didn't think of this before, but I had my driving skills seriously tested when I came to the UK to visit all of you the first time. How well are they (your driving skills) when you haven't slept for about 40 hours, you are driving sitting in what you think is the passenger seat on the opposite side of the road trying to figure out a sat nav system that you don't realize is set up for Ireland and not the UK while driving a car that has a system that shuts off the engine everytime you come to a stop and you don't know why?..........Frankie
