Are the Z3 2.8 & 3.0 on the rise?

Been thinking recently a convertible Nissan 350z would be a strong shout as an alternative to a 3.0. Two-seater, RWD,naturally aspirated big six-cylinder up front, and that muscular old skool vibe that zeds also have. Good ones seem to be available for £5k. Make a lovely noise too

Agree on most points Doc. but I have worked on both and would take the BMW over the Datsun anytime.

Hopefully it will be a knock effect on my 1.9 I payed good money for it a couple of years ago and it's had a lot of money spent on consumables and wear and tear items.
Although now she is mint condition with no looming problems I am still gonna be well out of pocket if I sell now.
Not many 20 year old classics can be bought for the price of a good Z3 I see no reason why prices shouldn't go up for good examples.
Every other classic seems to have gone North.
Only my opinion of course.

I managed to procure a BMW 2.2 Z3 with only 36k this year. After fixing all the faults i've been offered 2k more than i paid. Just down to mileage, spec and condition if your car is going to improve in value.

It's personal preference I suppose, but I'm happy to pay good money for a low mileage, non corroded 2.2, they do make the best noise of the bunch..
The 2.2 is the nicest sounding stock Zed, really annoys me that the 2.2 sounds better at lower revs than my M :arghh: :D:D

Haven’t heard mine alongside a Z3M. Good to know
2.2s sound great. The M is better on full chat and high revs but the 2.2 is nice when your tootling around, nice and throaty
