There is a web site called emanualonline.com where you can buy and download a Z3 manual (service and repair) for less than £20. Has anyone bought one of these? Are they any good?

Also interested, I've been looking at the ~£80 price tag on teh Bentley book with a raised eyebrow...

I've found Pelicanparts website with pretty nice interesting articles, but they often refer to the ... bentley!

The Bentley is the definitive workshop manual. Except whenever I have to fallback to it for a definitive answer, it doesn't seem to cover the bit I'm doing....

Well I wonder if these on line manuals are in fact the official manuals that some enterprising soul has scanned in and made into a PDF document. You wouldn't have to sell many copies to be in profit.

Forums, RealOem.com, and Youtube are the best manuals in my opinion. You can also get INPA for free. :) Nothing like seeing someone doing the job in Youtube as they talk you through the dos and don'ts and be aware of this and might as well do that.....

TIS for the workshop manual (offline version is excellent, online versions just cover what has been "printed to PDF" from an offline version). TIS only covers the jobs down to the level that a BMW franchise would repair your car. For instance, they would replace the seats, but we know that the "rocking bushes" can be replaced. It also covers all the approved oils and lubricants and all the torque settings.

RealOEM for the parts list (ETK is available, but RealOEM is kept up-to-date)

PDF wiring diagrams are available (WDS is available for newer cars [E46 onwards])

KDS shows the times that a job should take.

INPA is the diagnostic tool

There are also many "ST" pdfs that show (in great detail) how the cars operate. These are the documents that are used to train the technicians and salesmen on ALL the technical aspects of each model.
