As I am unable to reply on the original write up, I feel that I must write this thread in order to say that my comment (Not Mike's) about the Hare and the Tortoise was said in good faith as a comical comment when I saw the pics of two groups at Blyton, there was no intention to diss anyone's ability to drive at speed or in any fashion at all, if it had been Steve's group that had been caught up, I would have said the same thing!

We had a lovely weekend recently when Mike & I drove with Dave in the lead, so I know that he is a very capable driver at speed and would not hesitate to say that he is also a very safe driver too, as are all the Zorg members.

I expected the answer to be equally as comical, such as we knew that there was a glass of Prosecco in the offing.

I also feel that in comparison to some of the comments that appear on various threads that are accepted in good humour, mine is considerably milder.

I apologise if I have offended you, Pauline, I would never have commented at all if I had realised how much hurt it would cause.

Sure their is no hurt Sandy, we had a good group as did others. As stated earlier if two groups met up whats wrong with that, its what we do.

Sandy,

I will take some of the blame too... I was making my comments about 'pipe & slippers' in good humour. Seems we have all been taken literally rather than in the humour it was meant.

Accept my apology too Pauline.

Thank you for saying that, Paul, I wish now that I had not only said anything at all about catching up, but that I had spotted Pauline's post before the thread was closed.

Just a storm in a tea cup peeps. A throw away funny remark not taken how it was intended, it happens, but we're all still mates with a common interest.

Tony.

Sometimes on forums and emails and texts things come out all wrong .
Not like old fashioned face to face chats or phone calls.
Iam sure even light-hearted banter can be misconstrued.
Happy days ahead.:)

This is a very unique Forum and quite different from many others in that members are very willing to put right issues that might cause anxiety or offence to fellow members - must be one of the best about!!

It is one of the best. As everybody tries to be as helpful as they can too.

How could you offend anyone @EnthuZiaZT :p
Your a lovely sweet lady ;)

Of course, in the past, none of my threads, posts or comments have caused consternation, offence or been misconstrued...... er....Oh.. :inpain:

I've been watching this on and off all day, and I'm very sure that there was no offence intended on anyone's part. It was nice for Sandy to make a public apology, and I think this thread no longer needs to stay open.

If anyone needs a chat about this, then feel free to message me. Otherwise subject closed.

Hi again,

I just want to state that I was not asked to close this thread, nor was it done because I thought anyone was at fault.

Just sayin', Gaz.
