From the PetrolPrices.com site:

"West Yorkshire police issued more than double the amount of speeding tickets compared to any other police force in the UK, according to freedom of information data supplied by 19 different police forces to car leasing firm, UK Carline.

In total 142,610 speeding tickets were issued in 2017 by West Yorkshire Police, which was more than double number two on the list. Surrey Police issued 62,623 speeding tickets, followed by West Mercia on 62,503 speeding tickets.

West Yorkshire Police also hold the record for the highest recorded speed offence in 2017, catching a driver at 160 mph on a 70-mph speed limit road, more than double the national motorway speed limit."

Now, who would be the most likely candidate for the last paragraph?:ymdevil:

Colin.

:woot: not me, 30 MPH too short of the 'target' in my Zed ;)

A fellow police officer testing his car??

Unlucky, Phil:arghh:. But was that in the Zed? I'm sure there is a clause somewhere that says that Zed owners are allowed 10MPH over the limit before being booked:whistle:.
Colin.

Mini cooper D, Courtesy car when Zed was in garage for mot work. This took me up to 9 points but I am pleased to say I am back down to 3 now.
Cheers Phil

Need to derestrict the MC to give that a go, achieved 140 once (on track of course).

Unfortunately I was one of the 142,610. Road changed from 40 mph to 30 mph and was pulled for doing 38 mph.

The sneaky buggers did that a couple of miles from us a few years ago Phil with the same results for Shirl.:(

Tony.

They love changing the speed limits. The A272, which is a lovely road has been reduced in places to 50 & 40 mph. Why, nobody who uses it can say. The part that has the accidents is still 60 mph. Go figure. Ohh wait.. the camera van needs clear line of sight... ahhh ha... still love it when you hear the bikes down shifting then going 38 in the 40 and smiling at the van. It’s such a laugh to watch and listen.

They regularly place a van on Carholme Rd. in Lincoln, they even made a hard standing for it at the rate payer's expense:mad:, but, they have to advertise the fact that it's there by placing a warning sign outside the Winning Post fuel station to tell you!.

Tony.

Our local Constabulary actually advise BBC Radio Gloucestershire where their mobile vans will be each month. They don't say which days/times and there are more locations than vans, so advised locations may not have a van in attendance.

I only speed in Scotland, and I have a trophy to prove it

BBC Radio leicester used to tell you where and am or pm for the vans every morning on the breakfast show.Handy when working in said areas all day

Hey Mike, she could have got away with that on a technicality. Newtown is all one word, not two. So that is not her address!!
The words 'Straws' and 'Clutching' come to mind.:D.

Colin, I'm sure Hugh will appreciate you thinking he is a she. By the way He had already paid up at that point I guess. Poor Frankie had to do a detour to get turned around to go pick Hugh up from the clink too. These Boy Racers ;)=))=))

Tony.

ps. Looking at that ticket, there is a technicality on there where it says "passengers" and the box isn't ticked and he did have a passenger in @FRANKIE
