Been out today, glorious weather for it
Best time of year for a Roadster drive if the sun's out, IMHO.Been out today, glorious weather for it View attachment 25818
Great pics.Cannock was lovely but very icy - no place to be without boots. Someone forgot socks - It wasn't me - OK!
We drove a little further instead.
No car pics today - I wasn't going to get anything like the ones I posted last night and not wanting to be disappointed, I didn't wasn't going to try for second best. In fact, I got just one half decent one out of todays crop.
Here are the best of the bunch. The first one is my clear winner. The second I like but it was an accident shot. I moved the camera mid sequence in a multi exposure shot.
Just like the colours and frost in the shot of the log.
Swans always have to be taken. This one allowed me to get quite close - expecting food I think.
The last one was the river Trent at Wolesley Bridge.

Yep, easily done, I used to rip the zips out of mine.
Not Z related but got a beer run at 14.00 hrs to a nice old bar down here on the coast (quite a few barrels) as the 78th Tata Steel Chess Tournament is up and running.
Lovely lady owner of the bar always gives us a beer for delivering as the barrels have to go down in the cellar.
The swan and black and white photos are wonderfulCannock was lovely but very icy - no place to be without boots. Someone forgot socks - It wasn't me - OK!

First one was 1/3 second handheld. The second should have been 9 shot multiple average exposure - not possible handheld clearly. That gives a more realistic feel than a straight long exposure when it works. Going the other way and even better would be a big-stopper - a x10 ND filter that would have given a 30 sec exposure or more. Would have had a smaller aperture giving lots of depth of field. All thing's I'd try out on my own. Not good though when people are stood around getting miserable in the cold waiting for you though.Nice shots.
Another trick you can do with the stream, if you took your tripod, was to put it on a long exposure, it would have given the effect of running silver down the stream.
Like your idea Rich, we'd join you if we're about....we should fix up a Sunday Prayers meeting (Bacon Butties and Tea)...
